Overview
The Office of Partnership & Engagement, led by Chief Latasha Easterling-Turnquest, focuses on building strong connections between the district, families, students, and the broader community to enhance student success.
Key areas of work include:
- Family and Community Partnerships: Strengthening relationships with parents, caregivers, and community members through programs, workshops, and outreach to reduce barriers and increase involvement.
- Student Engagement: Supporting student well-being and success through specialized roles like Student Engagement Specialists placed in schools.
- Family Resource Centers: Overseeing seven centers that provide resources, support services, and programming for families.
- Parent Leadership & School Governance: Facilitating parent leadership training and supporting School Governance Councils and advisory groups.
- Welcome Center: Managing centralized registration for grades K-8 to ensure smooth enrollment for new families.
The office works collaboratively to create opportunities for youth, build adult capacity, and foster an inclusive, supportive environment where families feel valued and empowered as partners in education.
