As Directors of Teaching and Learning - STEM, Pari (PK-4) and Josh (5-12) facilitate and support the development of curriculum and programming in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. In addition, the professional learning of educators within MPS with regards to Math and Science is enhanced through the work of coaches, STEM Specialists and building leaders collaborating within the STEM department.

The integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is at the heart of the STEM department. Students engage in hands-on experiences that educate them in the four specific disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These experiences include but are not limited to, coding, invention, experimentation and the use of written science sources to support students' development as “future ready” which means preparing students to be creators of, not just consumers of, technology.
