(Day 49 of the Coronavirus school shutdown)

Memorial Day is for honoring military personnel who died while serving and is usually marked in Manchester by a parade, but not this year, so it might be nice to visit on your own one of the many monuments in town dedicated to those who made what has been called 'the ultimate sacrifice.' Here are a few and we have more on the OneManchester FB page:
Clockwise from left: Buckland Cemetery (next to Manchester Honda), Vietnam Memorial (across from Cheney Library), the first World War (outside Manchester Memorial Hospital) and the Spanish American War (in the Bailey Auditorium lobby at MHS so this is off limits for now).
MORE ABOUT MEMORIAL DAY
Essayist/mom Michele Gara knows that this weekend, like the Fourth of July and Labor Day, will be very different. Here's her column.
OneManchester will not be published Monday but will be back on Tuesday;
