Welcome to the 8th Annual Invention Convention with Science Fair!
Manchester Public Schools partnered with Manchester Town-wide PTA to present The 8th Annual Invention Convention with Science Fair on March 30, 2019. We had over 100 students participate in last year's district science fair. This was an exciting opportunity for students to experiment, create and invent!! This year, we will be expanding our Invention Convention with Science Fair to students in Grades K-12, who are enrolled in Manchester Public Schools.
Invention Convention (Kindergarten – Grade 12)
Students will solve a problem by creating an invention and make a display board to show visitor’s their inventing process. The invention can be something new or an improvement of something that already exists. Students participating in this category may be chosen to participate in the District-Wide Science Fair and/or the Connecticut Invention Convention.
Science Fair - Fair Test/Experiment (Kindergarten – Grade 8)
Students will make a display board showing their use of the scientific method to design an experiment. Students participating in this category may be chosen to participate in the District-Wide Science Fair.
Science Fair Model (Kindergarten – Grade 8)
Students will make a display board showing their research on a scientific topic (system) and build a model of the system so visitors can see what it is and how it works. Projects will not be judged, and will only be showcased at the School Level Science Fairs. Projects will not advance to District Level Science Fair.
For questions regarding the science fair(s), please contact Nichole Greco (firstname.lastname@example.org) or your school science teacher.
