The MHS midwinter concert -- always terrific -- is Wednesday at 7 p.m. (It had originally been scheduled to start at 7:30.) The event is free and features:
Percussion ensembles / Chamber Orchestra / Roundtable Singers / Jazz Ensemble / Jazz Combo
Join us for what is sure to be a memorable night of music.

Midyear Exam Info
MATH DEPARTMENT EXAM REVIEW ROOMS will be offered during Power Hour beginning Wednesday January 11. We will have three rooms set up to help you review for ALGEBRA 1 (Room 184), GEOMETRY (Room 295), and ALGEBRA 2 (Room 203) exams. Teachers will be there to help you get through your review packets. Come with a friend to get extra support while you study. Review rooms will be running through January 19. Remember, you may also work with your math teacher during Power Hour to get ready for any math exam.

LINK leaders and National Honor Society are offering mid-term study help to any 9th grader interested in studying for exams. Help will be given after school Monday 1/9 - Thursday 1/12 from 2:05 - 3:05. Extra help will be offered for each subject in the following rooms: Math in room 285, English in room 284, Science in room 290, Social Studies in room 287, and World Language in room 283.

  • Exams will begin Friday, Jan. 20 -- a day later than originally scheduled.

Tickets will be on sale January 4th through January 13th during Power hour in the Student Activities Office.  Ticket Cost is $20.00 each.  NO tickets will be sold after January 13th. If you are planning on bringing an outside guest you MUST have a completed Guest Permission Slip at the time of ticket purchase.  Forms are available in Student Activities and the Main Office.  STUDENTS MUST HAVE A SCHOOL ID WITH PICTURE TO ENTER THE DANCE.  Temporary ID's or the Swipe App. will not be allowed for entry.The Snoball Dance will be held on January 28, 2017 at Maneeleys in South Windsor from 7:00-11:00pm.

MHS Ski and Snowboard Club -- to Okemo Mountain, Vermont, on Saturday, February 4th. Forms can be picked up from Mrs. Wabble in the Student Activities Office, or from Ms. Raynor or Mr. Warner. Completed forms and payments are due by January 11th, to Mrs. Wabble.

Millstone Station full scholarship at Three Rivers Community College in Nuclear Engineering.  During the 2 years of full-time study, students will receive all tuition, fees, books, and a monthly stipend of $150.00 during the 9 month academic year. Students will also have a 12 week guaranteed summer co-op position at Millstone during their 1st and 2nd year of studies. See your counselor for more information. Deadline to apply - 2/15/17.

CT USBC Assoc. Scholarship

The student, parent, or grandparent must be a current member of the CT State USBC Association. A second scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a mother or grandmother that is a current member of the CT USBC Association. Deadline 3/15/17.

Remembering  Mitch
  • Here's an audio file from Ass't AD Joe Quaglia's eloquent tribute before last Friday's basketball game.
  • This Thursday (Jan. 12), from 4-10 p.m., Maggie McFly's (at Buckland mall) is donating 15% of every bill to Mitch's family. 
  • On Thursday, Feb. 2 there will be a fundraising concert for Barry Mitchell at MHS, starting at 7 p.m.
